By Elaina and Jazmin Revolutionary day is a time where 5th graders from all Tulsa Public Schools go to celebrate the Colonial time period. One of our 5th grade teachers named Ms.Weber dresses us into what the people back then wore. For example, the girls wear fancy dresses and the boys wear suits and hats that almost look like pirate hats but are called tricorne hats. Our social studies teacher Ms.Weber is the one who is in charge of the whole field trip. We’re looking forward to our trip on February 2. In our school we learn this rap called the Bill of Rights rap. In fact, we’re the leaders who do the rap in front of all of the kids. It starts with these words: “Ratified in 1791 the bill of rights had just begun. . .”. Use the link below this article to listen to the full rap. Revolutionary day is when we celebrate one of the most important day for most Americans. We celebrate the day of winning our rights.
